We are incredibly lucky to have the talented Andrew Smith, a Manchester born composer and musical director composing two brilliant songs for AmaSing.
Andrew’s work spans multiples genres from contemporary classical to musical theatre, popular music, opera, dance, education and television. He has worked for some of the finest ensembles, arts organisations and media companies including the Halle Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Opera North and BBC.
He has already worked on countless projects in Education across the UK with many children and young people from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds and has supported and developed many projects in Chester/ Cheshire with great enthusiasm, inspiring young people to create their own music and songs.
We are delighted to announce that Andrew has written a song called ”Live your Life to the Full “ linked with Macmillan Cancer Support which is one of our chosen charities to support in this project.
As with many of us, cancer has touched Andrew and his own family and so when he wrote this song, many of his own personal experiences inspired him to compose it. He has beaten cancer himself and this song is a testament to his strength and courage. This uplifting song has been written to inspire children to believe in themselves and when times get tough, they are not alone and to never give up. The second song will get everybody up on their feet as Andrew has brought together some of the best pop songs in a lively arrangement which the children will love to perform.
