AmaSing Connect Live 2021

We were delighted to host our Online Connect show on July 16th 2021 which reached over 8000 young people in school bubbles and isolating at home. We were finally able to bring our AmaSing Band together  (Andrew Smith Keys, Alex Dee sax, James Dee Lead guitar, Liam Hardwick Drums, Paul Adams Bass , Jack McCarthy Percussion and Kim McKensie Vocals) at the amazing new theatre space at Coleg Cambria and stream live out to schools and homes playing our unique AmaSing music we have created with young people and communities during the pandemic.

The whole event was hosted by our brilliant compere Simon Smithies and all our dance moves were choreographed and demonstrated by the wonderful Kelly Stevens. There were performances by one of our partner groups Kaleidoscope Orchestra and we even played our brand new video for our new song “Sustainability” which was created with Chester Zoo staff and young people.

Songs included our “Just Believe” a song created by head teachers from across the globe and songs we created with schools during the pandemic such as “ Let’s Build a World”, “ A Part to Play” and “ Our World” It was fantastic to see everyone rocking out to our “Ultimate Queen Medley” and our final highly emotive song “Not all Heroes Wear Capes” which was created by young people, families and key workers during these uncertain times

It was amazing to see so many children log on in schools and home and join in with all our singing and dancing and the show really ended another unusual year on a high. Thank you to everyone who took part and who was involved in delivering the show especially Orb Sound and Lighting who worked tirelessly organising all the tech and sound, Coleg Cambria for providing the wonderful venue and Cheshire Community Foundation for sponsoring the event.

We will be streaming the show live during September on our Facebook page so schools and families can join in once again so watch this space.
