Online Workshops
We have been keeping music and arts alive throughout the whole pandemic with children and communities and are on a mission to keep this going now schools have finally reopened. We have been astounded at how amazing our new workshops have been received in schools and are delighted to have been able to keep delivering inspiring arts workshops to so many groups in UK and abroad.
We have been running wellbeing singing sessions each week to hundreds of bubbles in schools in England, Wales and abroad reaching over 3000 children. These workshops have been led by our brilliant musical director Andrew Smith and have been a positive and uplifting way for schools to start their day and connect with each other during these uncertain times.
AmaSing Spider Dome
We are having an amazing time visiting schools with our new huge spiderdome tent funded by Arts Council England and this is allowing us to work with bubbles in a safe and well ventilated outdoor space. We have been having lots of fun creating brand new songs in fantastic composing sessions led by professional composers Andrew Smith and Alex Dee and supported by musicians from our AmaSing band and team- Liam Hardwick, James Dee, Paul Adams and Simon Smithies. We will continue to deliver these workshops all the way through October and have decided to choose one of these songs created to be professionally recorded and made into a new song for our new projects in 2021 for all AmaSing schools to learn and sing. We have so many exciting new wokshops coming up including an AmaSing Orchestra day collaborating with Kaleidioscope Orchestra and Music For Life and are also planning for our online show on 19th October 2020 with our amazing AmaSing 5 piece professional band, West End singer Fran Dee, Kelly Stevens from House of Dance and Compere Simon Smithies. We are hoping all AmaSing schools will join us for it online and join in singing a d performing all our Fusion songs. During the concert we will also play some fantastic films from groups who we collaborate with such as Kaleidoscope Orchestra, Carly Paoli and House of Dance.
We are devastated due to the pandemic that we can’t complete our Fusion shows in the professional theatres but we hope the online event will still be a positive experience for the young people involved and enable them to participate and connect with each other.
