AmaSing’s Sing With Santa and Rock With Rudolf

The Amasing team has been working hard bringing lots of festive cheer to thousands of children in schools during December in their “Sing with Santa and Rock with Rudolf” workshops.

In these sessions professional musician James Dee and AmaSing Creative Manager Kelly Stevens have been wowing the pupils and staff of many local schools including Chester Blue CE, St Clare’s, St Werburgh’s, St Theresa’s, Wolverham, St Bernard’s and Maple Grove schools delivering a fun and inspiring Christmas session where they get to dance and sing with Father Christmas and Rudolf bringing Christmas magic to life.

As well as the workshops in schools AmaSIng have delivered a very special online singing/ dance workshop on Thursday 9th December led by their amazing Musical Director Andrew Smith and reached over 8000 young people in school bubbles locally and across the UK/ abroad. Due to many school bubbles having to segregate again because of the rising COVID levels in schools AmaSIng decided to open these opportunities to children isolating at home too. One of the songs that was sung was Amasing brand new Christmas song “ Christmas Lights” written and produced by professional musician James Dee and got everybody dancing.

Rachael Borman Director of AmaSing stated “It was so special to see all the different children online this week and seeing everyone laughing and singing, connecting through music definitely brought some Christmas spirit and joy in this uncertain period again” AmaSing will be continuing their online singing/ dance sessions every week in the new year. These are open to all ages and needs and are all about collaborating together through music and having some fun.

AmaSing has also taken different school groups to perform at different community events including Chester Business Network Christmas event and The Cheshire Ice Cream Farm. Tracy Griffiths Business Networking Host stated “After our reception we were treated to some AmaSing songs performed by the AmaSing children who were an absolute delight”

AmaSng are looking forward to performing for many other occasions in the New Year involving  children from their new after school clubs and Saturday morning school.

AmaSing were also delighted to take part in the Chester Cathedral Christmas Tree festival again this year and asked the children from St Clare’s Primary to design and decorate it.

Marian Ryder Headteacher from St Clare’s Primary stated “ We had a wonderful time making and decorating the AmaSing tree and it was so lovely to be part of this fantastic festival at the Cathedral. The children loved being part of it and seeing all the other beautiful trees there”

The AmaSing team would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and New Year and hare looking forward to an exciting  when they finally will get back into their theatre performances which will involve thousands of children and starting many new clubs in schools and their brand new Saturday Creative Arts School, Junior Rock Choir, Youth Orchestra and Street Dance sessions so watch this space!
